Hi Menlo City Council,
We live on Parkwood Dr. (a dead end off of Ringwood Ave near Coleman) and closing Coleman in one direction would significantly worsen traffic patterns and make some of the school commutes more challenging. For example, the school bus to Menlo School uses Coleman in the morning to pick up kids and drops them off in the other direction (southbound) in the afternoon and would need to be re-routed. Additionally, closing southbound Coleman will divert additional traffic to the Ringwood/Bay intersection which is already a *big* mess during major commute hours. Please do not close Coleman southbound between Ringwood and Santa Monica, it will make traffic worse on Ringwood, Willow, Bay, and El Camino and these corridors are already very backed up during commute hours.
