Hello Menlo Park City Councilmembers,
As a resident of San Mateo County and a frequent patron of businesses in the downtown Menlo Park area, I hope that the city of
Menlo Park will seize the opportunity to include affordable housing as part of the new library project. San Mateo County as a
whole has a tremendous housing deficit caused by decades of emphasizing commercial construction over adding homes. Adding
affordable housing near the Menlo Park train station and downtown area will provide individuals and families who would otherwise
not be able to afford it an opportunity to take part in all the wonderful things Menlo Park has to offer .
