Dear City Council and Ms. Casados,
We would love to come visit City Hall with our 5th grade class again as part of our Project Based Learning Unit - We The Kids - on
how the model of the US Constitution might help us write our own classroom constitutions. We would love for the students to learn
about the city and its government and the set of laws/rules that govern it. Last year, our students loved visiting with Ms. Keith
and the year before that we were honored by visits by Mr. Cline and Mr. Mueller. It really teaches them how an organization like a
city works.
Our preferred week to visit is from September 11 - September 15th (the 10th is a staff development day). Best times for our visit
are 9:30am or 1:30pm. We hope to take the bus to City Hall and walk back to campus after your presentation.
Please let us know if you have any availability for us to come for a visit. It certainly is not our expectation to visit with the
whole city council but would love to hear from one or more of you.
