I recently learned that the city staff recommended against including housing in the renovation of the Alma St library. I would urge the council to move forward with the housing development anyway.
I used to work in Menlo Park, at Ravenswood and El Camino, in 2011. Even back then, rents were so high in Menlo Park that I had to live in Mountain View to be “close to work”. Since then, housing has only become dearer.
Being so close to the Caltrain station and Santa Cruz ave, this site will offer future residents maximum leverage in terms of transit and community access. Please do not miss this opportunity.
