further development approvals

Hi - I watched this week's City Council meeting video and read the press and as a concerned resident who is not overly involved
with politics, I have very little education/background on this topic being pushed forward. I would probably speak for many Menlo
Park residents who would become affected by this change and we seem to have NO education on what is being discussed so rapidly and
being pushed forward (just by talking to some residents, a topic gets to be added last minute as an "emergency item" and voted on
immediately?) It seems as though we have already over committed to MP development and are seeing the fallout and the dust hasn't
even settled yet. We don't have the infrastructure in place to handle this (major traffic, commuters cutting though quiet
neighborhoods, strained Willow Road and University, etc.) I run errands along El Camino Real daily and I have to add 30 min's to
each trip -- I'm often outnumbered by bulldozers and cement mixers - it frankly feels like a war zone. And now we are approving
"more" Belle Haven development (which will effect the west side of the highway too) in a knee jerk reaction? It just seems like we
are pushing development through at such a rapid pace in a reckless way and we have no plans for the impact this will have on the
streets/residents/bikers and are not even giving residents a chance to get educated on the topics. Doesn't seem effective or
thought out to me.
