Dear City Council Members,
Thank you for serving Menlo Park and listening to your fellow city residents. I’m excited about the New Guild project possibility
and think your response/listening to residents support of this project has been instrumental to its success. Thank you.
In the same spirit and in voicing my opinion, I have big concerns about the impact of the FB housing project on enrollment at
MAHS. I’d like to see an impact assessment be required of FB. Such large unplanned growth would hugely negatively impact MA, our
students, traffic accessing the school, school parking, our community. We all know that the health of a community can be measured
in its schools, and that will falter with large unplanned growth at an already very large, maxed out but still excellent, school.
I hope that you will require an impact assessment, followed by a meaningful plan from FB to address the impact of its expansion on
Menlo Atherton High School.
