I’m disappointed to learn that the issue of spending $30 million for a new library is back under consideration, and worse, the
city has hired and is spending money on staff to look into this. Our current library is fine and altogether adequate. The city
does not need more debt and interest payments, and there are many many other projects of vital importance. We should be reducing
costs not increasing them. The library idea is a vanity project; I urge you to avoid it. Instead, do the important business of the
city.
