Hello, City Council Members -
I am writing to reiterate my strong support for the New Guild project spearheaded by Drew Dunlevie.With his leadership, I know
this project will be a success and the objectives will be met.
This type of venue for live music and entertainment is sorely needed in Menlo Park. I have lived here since 1991, and raised all 5
of my children here. My business is also located in downtown Menlo Park. Quite frankly, the city is a bit "dead" compared to the
other cities on the Peninsula. We find ourselves heading out to Redwood City, Mountain View, San Carlos or Woodside for a fun
night out or for live music. Music, theatre and the arts are things that all people of all ages can enjoy, and will well serve to
bring our community together and enrich our lives. All of the associated benefits, in my opinion, outweigh any negative side
effects such as increased traffic.
I cannot support this plan enough, and really hope the Council sees fit to approve of the plan.
