Dear Council Members,
I would like to write you to express my support for The New Guild project. Ever since I learned about the possibility of having a
live music/entertainment venue here in my community, I have been more than excited. The way Menlo Park is now, there is no anchor
that really draws my family down there, or my husband and me on a night on the town. We are much more likely to leave our
community and go elsewhere for dinner and drinks and entertainment. To be able to leave our house and drive 10 minutes to hear
live music is a dream come true! I would love my children to grow up being exposed to live music, too. This is so important in
this day in age to pull people in to to watch something real vs. staring into phone screens.
I know that having The New Guild, we will be more likely to check out acts there, and spend our dining out money in Menlo Park
instead of other towns. Sometimes, I get a bid sad when I drive through Menlo Park. It is lots of rug stores, nail salons, and
pharmacies. Aren't we more interesting than this? Having The New Guild would prove that we are!
Please approve this project! Don't let this opportunity pass by.
