I live in west Menlo and I will be away for 1/14
council meeting. I am strenuously against housing in downtown parking lots and urge you to consider other more appropriate alternatives that you dismissed. The whole state of downtown ( rats, debris, lack of repair of Trader Joe’s parking surface, filthy pavement on Santa Cruz, dirty area with flags ( we are not in Tibet) lack of street washing…what is City Council doing to enhance “vibrancy”; putting dense housing here is only diminishing further a greatly sorry-looking downtown.
How about a cohesive hardscaping plan …get rid of those tired and poorly maintained redwood kiosks/street pillars. No on downtown parking lot
Housing! ( affordable or market rate makes no difference-not a prudent choice!)
