I’m writing in support of the Guild Theatre project. As a music teacher at Menlo-Atherton High School, I witness the power of
music everyday. Music creates community. Students, staff and parents have all rallied around the musical ventures put forth at
M-A. It's a uniting and uplifting force that crosses all races,cultural and socio-economic divisions.
There are numerous times I've witnessed inspiring performances just within my classroom as students labor to find their own voice
and in doing so, share their struggle with others in a creative, healthy process.
The peninsula is undergoing rapid change. It's an epicenter of technology and innovation. Why not include a cultural and artistic
element within that dynamism?
