I wanted to send a quick note to reinforce my excitement and optimism for the New Guild Theater project in Menlo Park. This is
exactly the type of anchor project that will help revitalize our wonderful city. We are caught in a trans-generational slump in
certain pockets of the city, but I can see progress being made in the 8 years my family has lived here. It's time for a stronger
heartbeat in MP, one that embraces the performing arts!
The New Guild will help bring families like my own downtown more often, where we will undoubtedly spend more time/money in local
businesses. I'm sure the halo effect will attract more contemporary merchants, restaurants, etc which will in turn lead to more
tax revenue for our city. It's a win-win.
