Hello hard working Planning Commission,
I have voiced my support via email twice to the council (in January and February), and I want to continue that theme with this
note to you regarding the New Guild.
What a great opportunity for the Menlo Park entertainment and retail community this would be. Instead of losing entertainment
revenue to cities north and south of us, we could become a destination via this live theatre, and this would clearly benefit the
multitudes of other dining and retail shops in our beautiful town. And because the scale of the New Guild is appropriate, this
could only enhance the cultural vibrancy of the city we call home. This is a wonderful place to live with safe beautiful
neighborhoods, but we need some entertainment zip!
I’ve been a resident of Menlo Park since 2001 as an “adult,” but grew up here (attending Laurel, Encinal and Menlo School), so I
think I can say with some authority that our town could really use The New Guild.
