Hi,
I’ve been a Menlo Park resident for 8 years.
My family and I love the current downtown, it was one of the reasons we moved to Menlo.
We support the local downtown business: eating out at the restaurants and having my daughter go to the academy of dance weekly.
However, parking is already very difficult to find as it currently is.
Removing those 3 lots and replacing them with high density housing (which will bring hundreds of additional cars, further exacerbating the problem) will be a disaster. Downtown Menlo Park will become unusable, crowded, ruined.
These lots are NOT “exempt surplus land”.
Please do not vote to ruin what makes our downtown so special.
