To Whom it may concern;
I am a resident of Menlo Park and have been living here in my home since 1974. I have seen too many unfortunate changes sweeping our little town, so many that it’s hardly recognizable anymore. This low income housing proposal in our parking lots is a horrible idea & would be the death knell of Santa Cruz Ave .
It will totally change the lives of so many residents who ALREADY struggle with inadequate parking, loss of businesses that have been forced to close due to extension of dining areas to outdoor sidewalk & street, or who simply can’t survive the high rents & have been forced to close or move elsewhere.
Little by little city government has transformed & chipped away at the heart of Santa Cruz Ave….the businesses, fun boutiques that are not restaurants ….
