Dear City Council
As a Menlo Park resident for more than 40 years , finding parking downtown today can be challenging as it is...I cannot imagine doing it if you eliminate like half of the spaces as contemplated and add high density housing....more people and even more cars!! Between Springline and the massive 6 story Stanford development along El Camino, there must be over 1,000 new units; many more out by Facebook...how many are needed ?? Do you really want Menlo Park to look more like Redwood City?
Also, what about all the available space in the huge SRI redevelopment, of the USGA site or even the old Sunset parking lots........huge, absolutely massive land available which does not eliminate badly needed downtown parking spaces. Can you please consider the quality of life for your EXISTING residents??
Respectfully
