Dear Councilmembers:
We have lived in Menlo Park for 12 years. We are writing in support of the proposal to Save the Guild theater, proposed by the
Peninsula Arts Guild.
This would be an exciting and unique venue for films, a much-needed space for schools to use for performances, and an "in our
backyard" space for a variety of artists to perform.
Having this venue right in the heart of Menlo Park will also draw people to the restaurants on El Camino and Downtown, which will
be an added bonus for local businesses. It will also create more of a community feel.
We are confident in the nonprofit group who has been thoughtful in getting the right investors involved. This group has also
thought carefully about community impact.
We urge you to please review and approve this project in a timely manner which will bring many benefits to our community.
