Dear Menlo Park City Council,
I’ve heard about the proposal to “Save the Guild” theater which has been proposed by the nonprofit Peninsula Arts Guild, to retain
the site and create a venue for the arts and other speaking engagements.
I’masking that you make every effort to make the review and approval of this project a high Council priority.
My understanding is that this is very time sensitive and might be a "one and only opportunity" to capture this unique use for our
community.
The site’s most intense use will be off hours, generally on weekend nights, not adding to peak traffic or parking demand.
An entertainment attraction like this will stimulate business for local restaurants and shops which could use a boost in revenues.
I’m asking foryour help in making this unique opportunity a reality for our town.
