I’ve been living with my family in this wonderful community for almost 5 years and we recently bought a house in West Menlo. We are immigrants from Brazil, we choose Menlo Park as my wife was accepted for her Master in Stanford in 2013, the great public school system (we believe in PS) and as entrepreneur and investor I saw good opportunities in this beautiful land.
My kids are compulsive readers and I can assure you Menlo Park’s library is not the most modern library in the US but it is indeed very good and I think it serves the community wonderfully.
If there is something this community should invest is in security. There have been quite a few reports of burglars in this area, broken car windows, breaking into houses reports seem to be happening more often. coming from Rio de Janeiro, I’m pretty use to this, but I assure you having peace of mind is one of the biggest assets one can have. Investing in more police patrol + street cameras will definitely help keeping our community more secure.
