January 28, 2025 meeting

Dear Council members,
During the 1/28/2025 public meeting, I observed that:

You were repeatedly told to STOP the parking lot(s) option; and yet you want to ignore citizen demands and go forward with "Quotes from developers" . . . to see if it is "Feasible".
So . . . Here is a better feasibility test: While you wait for Quotes:
1) Shut down all 3 parking lots to "See If Its Feasible".
2) Find out BEFORE its TOO LATE , if there will be collateral damage that will occur:
Including, but not limited to, business shut downs, loss of jobs, loss of sales tax income, lawsuits against the city, future lawsuits against the contractors,
3) Check with the Fire Department and get their written approval for this plan.

(Within one week, you will KNOW, with certainty, that "it is NOT feasible")

4) Look elsewhere (Civic Center).
Please: Do NOT assume that the Civic Center is exclusively "a Park". There is ample space to build housing without disturbing any "Park area"
5) Checked the title to the 3 parking lots? Did you order a Title opinion? Are there any "clouds" on the title?
Frankly, if I were a developer, I would not waste my time and money to bid on a project that is: Overwhelmingly unsupported by the community and clearly NOT Feasible.
Respectfully,
