Honorable Council Members,
Your second agenda item for Monday at 5:00 is to further your March decision to further Option C through our downtown. This will create three large intersection “basins” connected by San Carlos-style concrete-walled berms, hiding the new Library gates and all of Alma Street - most notably from the Recreation Center to Oak Grove. Option C would forever draw the curtain across all the eastern (101) direction from Downtown.
None of us wants to be remembered for the rest of the Century for having done this. Nor do we want the 5 years of construction choke points to make such a thing happen.
Please, get the long-requested, viable, aesthetic alternatives studied now. We have stumbled much too long.
