It has long been a concern of mine that San Francisquito Creek is never cleared of debris and fallen limbs. In the summer, when it is very dry: it is a HUGE fire hazard and if a fire starts, there are multiple Eucalyptus trees that could easily spread the blaze.
I suspect that because the creek is between Palo Alto and Menlo Park and also runs through Stanford land, that no one wants to accept responsibility for the hazard. But here is truly one case where a bit of prevention could save millions.
Would you please convene a group of firefighters from both sides of the creek and city officials to determine if some prevention/clearing could occur?
I live at the Vi Palo Alto and am horrified at the amount of debris and flammable brush in the creek.
