I understand It costs $40000 to light up the tree in Fremont Park. This year, is that the best way to spend this money? With all the cuts and job loss - people are actually going hungry. Maybe a food drive, 2nd harvest food bank donation and/or giving bonuses to City employees that had their hours cut and/or make less then $20 an hour? All in the real true meaning of Christmas and the Holiday Spirit.
