Subject: Traffic on Willow Road between Middlefield - Gilbert

Happy Holidays to everyone,
We all should have a relaxing holiday so please do not feel you need to respond right away, this can wait until after the New Year, but I do hope to hear back. Please do answer the petition question.

Because this happened today:

I was driving eastbound on Willow Road, just passing Blackburn, when an SUV didn't like I was driving the speed limit and decided to pass me using the bike lane.

What if I lived on the even side of the road and pulled onto the bike lane to get to my driveway?
What if the driver didn't see a cyclist or pedestrian?

You've seen my emails and videos, at any time of the day of the week, excessive speeding is occurring on a daily basis.

Just because I am not flooding your inbox as I do not have the spare time to become the squeaky wheel, does not translate speeding has subsided.

No temporary measure works.

The only way to stop the speeding is speed bumps that are emergency vehicle-friendly.

Why, oh why, isn't this a city problem?
If anyone of you lived on our street, would you sit back and let this be allowed, knowing this is a safety issue?
Why does the City Council or law enforcers think commuters breaking the law on a daily basis is okay?

Wait, maybe I'm being silly, so:
Speeding beyond the speed limit is breaking the law, isn't it?
Is the speed limit posted a "recommendation"?

We (residents) are beyond infuriated and frustrated that we are not seen or heard.
When you are experiencing this kind of dangerous speeding 24/7, it manifests into stress and anger from not being heard, without any action for improvement.

And BTW, why can't the emergency vehicles from FIre Station House # 1 take Santa Monica where there is very little traffic?
I've seen them returning to their station turning onto Coleman onto Santa Monica so they can handle the radius.

Any of you have an open invitation to meet us at 247 Willow Road, and if it's our MP police officers, we prefer it not be a marked vehicle and because vehicles will start slowing down.

We can develop a vaccination (thank goodness) at warp speed but not solve this problem since we've lived on Willow Road (1992).

DO YOU NEED A PETITION to hear loud and clear from the people surrounding this neighborhood to realized there has been an on-going problem that is easily solved but ignored?

23 second video - this tracks how many people viewed it and the last time I sent it to today, it was 0 people who bothered to watch it.

We wish all of you to remain safe and healthy to you and yours.

Your fellow MP resident and friendly neighbor,
Alice and Daniel Hom
