You are cordially invited to attend a Non-Partisan Virtual Event from the privacy and comfort of your home or office to the 2021 U.S. Presidential Inauguration Celebration, provided by the SISTER CITIES INTERNATIONAL (SCI), of which the City of Menlo Park is a member. SCI began in 1956 by former President Dwight D. Eisenhower. SCI connects cities to foster goodwill and citizen diplomacy between cities in over 140 countries, with over 2,000 partnershps. Menlo Park's Sister City is located in Galway, Ireland, with a Friendship Agreement dating back to year 2013 followed by a full fledged Sister City Agreement signed on June 3, 2016. President Elect Joe Biden will be honored during this inaugeration as the 2021 SCI Honorary Chairman.
The EVENT is Free and is open to all citizens. Time permitting, you may find this a memorable and certainly a HISTORICAL event.

We are honored to celebrate the inauguration of our new Honorary Chairman, President-Elect Joe Biden. We invite all global citizens to join us in commemorating this momentous occasion.
The Sister Cities International Inaugural Celebration is the premier international event which launches the week of presidential inaugural celebrations in the United States. Due to the current pandemic, this year’s much anticipated event will be held virtually on January 17th from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM EST.
This year’s theme is “All Roads Lead to Diplomacy” and our program will feature prominent speakers as well as spectacular musical and cultural performances. We anticipate an expansive global audience that includes diplomats, members of Congress, mayors and community leaders from our sister cities near and far.
Sister Cities International was founded by Dwight D. Eisenhower in 1956 at the White House Conference on Citizen Diplomacy. With this coming inauguration, President-Elect Joe Biden will be named as the Honorary Chairman for Sister Cities International.
As we are days away from the inauguration, we need the help of both our corporate community and private citizen diplomats to ensure that this year's SCI inaugural event is a success. We have structured our sponsorship levels to include benefits for donors at all levels including recognition in our Global Leaders Circle, our traditional annual fundraising campaign.
