Happy 2021!!!! I'm Rachel Bickerstaff, 28 year resident of the City of Menlo Park in the Belle Haven neighborhood. My public comment is regarding:
Item E1. Consideration of the final approvals for the Menlo Park Community Campus project located at 100-110 Terminal Avenue
I'm tremendously excited about this project. The Belle Haven Neighborhood Association was so happy to be the platform used to announce Facebook's proposal to construct a new multi-generation campus of this magnitude. We have been waiting for a state of the art Library for all to enjoy for many, many years. Finally, our voices have been heard to have it placed in the perfect location of our neighborhood near Kelly Park. We all know, placing it there didn't make sense when the current buildings were in need of rebuilding. I'm mentioning all of this to really give everyone the history of how long we have been waiting and needing some type of educational component accessible to all other than Beechwood School. We are asking for you all, our City of Menlo Park City Council to approve this amazing project that will be a staple of our Community and to the City as a whole.
