Dear Council Members,
I support the Sharon Road Sidewalk project, raised concrete sidewalk option very strongly. In addition to being a neighborhood resident, I am a school nurse for the Las Lomitas School District and consider student safety of utmost importance. I've observed many students walking to and from La Entrada School on this stretch of road between Santa Cruz Ave and Altchul, and cringe with concern observing how close the cars are to the pedestrians. A raised sidewalk would at least offer some separation between the cars and pedestrians, and thus make the travel route safer.
I urge you to consider the safety of students and all other pedestrians on this stretch of road when making your decision. Please approve the standard concrete sidewalk option 1 of the Sharon Road Sidewalk project.
