It's not just the noise, which is especially hard for so many who work at home, or are trying to school their kids or nap their babies!
It's also the air pollution from the motor/exhaust and spreading lots of dust all over other people's property! I hate when they use leaf blowers next to my house - I have to spray off all my fruit tree leaves to get them clean so they can respirate and grow!
Not fair to allow this for neighbors, walkers/bikers/joggers through the neighborhood - while we are encouraged to get exercise outdoors! - and really hard on the health and hearing of the gardeners, as most are not wearing goggles, earplugs, and respirators.
I'm not a fan of any leaf blowers, but the gas-powered are definitely a bigger pollution problem and noise risk.
Please vote to ban them in Menlo Park, as they have been in Palo Alto for years.
