City council,
Its beyond me that anyone on this council believes new housing in the parking lots is a good idea. It will be very bad for business on Santa Cruz Av. Already due to the parklets there is not a way to simply drive down Santa Cruz Avenue without weaving off to other streets. Add in the parking that has been lost on the street. Oh yes, we also have an after-school playground for the kids right in the middle of the business district. Surely you are aware these things are all negatives for business on Santa Cruz Av. Anything that adds to the aggravation of doing errands or shopping will hurt business here. With this proposal, which means less parking and more aggravation there will certainly be less business vitality.
Please consider what it will mean to have more businesses close.
