Dear Sir:
Thank u for taking the time to read this correspondence.
As a single person with no children I notice my demographic doesnt get the same or half of financial assistance then those who choose to have a child.
Medicare advantage advertise health food 70.00 and hsa/fsa purse 90.00. Except recipient has to be at the store CANNOT buy online. Stores such as Safeway, Walgreens, CVS, Walmart u get better products, lower price than nations benefits own website, yet for those with no car, have to arrange a ride , shop for the item, drive back home. If u buy it online it is delivered to your door. Saves effort , and resources from the providers who are providing the ride/gas/time.
Medi-cal & Medicare make it difficult to get otc /fsa/hsa items through doctor to go through insurance.and by less regulation they re is a higher probability of interaction between otc and rx prescribed and limited by pharmacy, insurance, and doctor.
I find it difficult to buy groceries. Ssdi counts as income so I get minimum 23.00. Before the short time when ssdi didnt count as income for snap I was getting approx 291.00. Eating healthy saves the health care system resources and saves tax payers money.
I worked for approx 17yrs at one company. More trauma memories came up the less I could function.
Please ask your constituents about making meanful change for a demographic that seems to be forgotten.
