mobility, housing, and the environment.
Tonight, we’re pleased to co-sponsor with SAMCEDA, Friends of Caltrain, and Transform, Dr. Dan Sperling of UC Davis ITS, and
California Air Resources Board Member to discuss his new book on the Three Revolutions of Transportation (Autonomous, Shared, and

Three Revolutions: Planning for an electric, autonomous, shared transportation future

SamTrans Auditorium
1250 San Carlos Ave, San Carlos

Three revolutions will fundamentally change transportation. But whether these changes will be for better or worse for social
equity, traffic congestion, pollution, and energy use, will depend on the policy choices we make now. Speakers include: Dan
Sperling from UC Davis, Deb Schrimmer from Lyft, and TransForm’s Clarrissa Cabansagan. The event will be moderated by Billy Riggs.

Optimizing Our Highways: Moving More People with Fewer Cars

April 30, 7:00PM - 8:30PM
Burlingame Public Library, Lane Room
480 Primrose Road, Burlingame

An express lane is now being considered on 101 from San Francisco to San Jose, but projections show that it alone will do little
to solve our traffic woes. Can we make Silicon Valley the place to break out with truly disruptive ideas that work?

Clarrissa Cabansagan, New Mobility Policy Director at TransForm, will outline how a 101 Mobility Action Plan (MAP) can achieve
stronger equity and environmental outcomes while improving mobility. Jeff Tumlin, Principal and Director of Strategy at
Nelson\Nygaard, will discuss how to best implement managed/express lanes.

Synchronizing Climate and Transportation PlansMay 16, 6:00PM - 7:30PM
Palo Alto Morrison & Foerster
755 Page Mill Road, Palo Alto

Transportation is the largest source of greenhouse gas emissions in the region and the state. What transportation strategies make
it harder to reduce GHGs, and what can help? Billy Riggs from University of San Francisco, Michael Boswell from California
Polytechnic State University and Gil Friend from the City of Palo Alto will discuss how we can make better decisions today that
support a sustainable future.

Co-sponsors: Palo Alto Forward, Friends of Caltrain
