I don't care for either A or B, but if we must pick one, choose A which exempts single family homes (and I hope the final adoption
will exempt all properties of 1-4 units. The way to make housing more affordable is to allow more units on R-3 lots that are now
overly-restricted by lot size. Has this been considered by the council? For instance on the streets off University near downtown
such as Menlo, Oak, Roble, the lots are zoned R-3 and all have multi-residential units. But restrictions hold some lots to
duplexes which could be tri-plexes or even 4-plexes.
