I respectfully request that you uphold the appeal of the use permit approval for the 320 Sheridan Drive project and ask the applicant to return with a revised proposal that includes a clear plan to:
1. Leverage the Caltrans public right-of-way for vehicles, bicycles, and pedestrians to help reduce the commute burden on the community.
2. Develop an agreement with San Mateo County Parks to provide direct pedestrian and bike access to Flood Park from the project site during operating hours.
I appreciate the challenging balance you must strike between the need for more housing and the potential impacts on the community and your constituents.
