Dear City Council Members-
The greatest thing to happen to our town is to have life happening IN it. We have restaurants and music and people are using the facilities, making reservations and lining up to eat outdoors.
Covid was the worst thing to happen to us all and for small businesses. Our town has rallied around the restaurants again and again - and they have invested so much time and money to save their businesses - that I feel we owe it to them to keep the MP streets closed and let these businesses get their feet on the ground.
Walgreens is an enormous chain and it will survive. With this store open or not. Like anything, if people need items from that store , they will park behind in the giant lot that is easily accessible.
This is terrible. Half our town’s buildings are empty and by taking away the street business w tables we may end up putting the final sword into these restaurants. Then we will have more empty store fronts. And what is uglier than that?
Let’s help those who chose to open here and support them! Keep the streets closed like our neighboring towns have-
Sincerely-
