Dear Council members,
I am concerned that the current rates already exceeding other local areas costs. Raising the rates for swim programs such as SOLO and other community based organizations who use the pool for children swim lessons is not right. I am in favor of the city taking the management of the pool away from the current provider and placing it back in the City’s hands for better accountability.
I used to swim at the Burgess pools but left because many years ago because Masters and the current provider do not allow access to the performance lanes first thing in the morning. (Swimming in the instructional pool is not ideal for lap swimmers who do not like swimming in 88 degree water.)
