Dear City Council,
I think Santa Cruz Ave should be closed from El Camino to Peets, permanently. Making it a pedestrian Piazza would be great for downtown. I also think the new residential construction along El Camino will be a great boost for Santa Cruz Ave & downtown. Those residents will be able to walk to our downtown businesses. Perhaps leave the Chestnut cross street open. We could use a couple parking garages. Menlo Park is the only downtown from Mountain View to San Carlos without a parking garage, so I think it's time to think about that, too.
