Keep the streets closed to through traffic so restaurants can continue to serve customers safely outdoors. Eating outside has helped to save our sanity during this pandemic. This is not hyperbole or an attempt at humor. These restaurants have suffered immeasurably and we are thrilled to support them and have a reason to leave our house in the evening.
We are in the last tier to be vaccinated and until I receive one, I will not be dining indoors. There’s plenty of parking in downtown Menlo Park despite extra space committed to outdoor dining.
Respectfully, why is this even on the agenda at this stage when schools are still closed and people are working from home for the foreseeable future? It seems an absurd waste of time and resources.
