Hello council members,
I would like to express my support for agenda item K2, upholding the approval for the development at 320 Sheridan. A housing development thats 100% affordable and aimed at local teachers, built on an empty lot, would be a fantastic and rare gift to our community. The opposition is finding increasingly weak reasons to try to delay and obstruct this project. I am a homeowner on nearby Gilbert Ave, and while I am worried about increased traffic creating unsafe intersections near schools, I urge the city council to solve this problem through better traffic control, bike lane protection, and public transportation options, and not by denying our community the housing it so desperately needs.
