Dear City Council,
Please consider endorsing a quiet zone through Menlo Park. I live on Encinal Avenue and the honking of the train horns (especially those of the freight trains in the middle of the night 11pm, 4 and 5am) is a constant nuisance and deprives us from sleeping
through the night. We have lived on Encinal Avenue for 20 years but it seems that the honking of horns (especially at night) is longer and louder now than it was before. Now that all of our railroad crossings have the barriers in place to avoid accidents
with cars and pedestrians, I think it is time for the city council to make the decision of establishing a quiet zone in Menlo Park. It will make our city a better place to live (and sleep).
