As a 30-year resident of Menlo Park, I strongly support the continuation of the downtown street closures. Outdoor dining areas are a nice amenity, and the combination of more people outside and fewer cars makes for a more welcoming, more vibrant, and safer downtown. My family and I frequently patronize many downtown businesses aside from the restaurants, and we have not experienced problems with parking or accessing other businesses downtown.
