the biggest problem of the Menlo park downtown at the past last 25 years and present, there was/ is always shortage of the parking spaces, since pandemic is almost over because of the vaccination, I don't see any reason use of the public & parking places by private business's including restaurants, And also with almost completed 2 large downtown Apartment & office complexes (Cadillac & Stanford apartments) we need parking more then ever, And also renting all the empty shops of the Santa Cruz will be no attractive to rent with present ugly Hut's, instead we should let free enterprise take its course by landlord lowering their rent if they want to rent with available parking spaces
