I have been a resident of Menlo Park for the past 30 years. In recent years our quiet community is being bombarded with train noise. It affects us inside and outside of our home, especially at night when we are trying to sleep. We like to sleep with the windows open at night all year long to let in the fresh, cool air. The freight trains are very disruptive blowing their horns extremely loud with excessive frequency. The new Stanford development on El Camino has amplified the noise bouncing it back into the neighborhoods. I urge you to consider pursuing a Quiet Zone in Menlo Park to improve our quality of life.
