Dear Menlo Park Senior Center,
My name is Sharvi Dhamdhere, and I’m a 9th grader at Henry M. Gunn High school. I am the founder of ArtSEE Expression, an initiative dedicated to making art accessible, joyful, and meaningful for all. Through ArtSEE Expression, I have led multiple community-based workshops to bring creative experiences to diverse groups.
I would love to bring an interactive and engaging art workshop to Menlo Park Senior Center at no cost to you. Our workshops are designed to foster self-expression, creativity, and connection while being easy to follow and enjoyable for all skill levels. Our slogan, "Art that reflects, expression that connects," highlights our mission to use art as a medium for storytelling and emotional connection. You can learn more on our website.
Workshop Proposal
I’d like to offer one of the following art activities:
Pressed Flower or Photo Bookmarks – Participants can either use pressed flowers or personal photos (which can be printed ahead of time) to create unique, laminated bookmarks. If interested, you can send over photos in advance, and I’ll ensure they are ready for the session.
Clay Pinch Pots + Painting – A hands-on pottery session where participants shape simple clay pinch pots and decorate them with paint once dry.
Collaborative Puzzle Art – Each participant paints their own puzzle piece, and when assembled, it forms a collective artwork representing community and togetherness.
I would love to coordinate a time that works best for your seniors. Please let me know if you’re interested, and I’d be happy to discuss further details. I can also come by to your center after 4, anytime this week!
Looking forward to hearing from you!
Best regards,
Sharvi Dhamdhere
