Dear City Councilmembers and Mayor Drew Combs,
I respectfully request that you work to install a new sidewalk at the following address in District 2 of Menlo Park:
2096 Menalto Ave
I live in the neighborhood and the lack of sidewalk is extremely dangerous, especially with the time change.
Cars round the corner very quickly and there have been multiple near-misses that I have seen and been a part of. Because there is no sidewalk, kids, people walking their dogs, and people going to work have to walk in the road.
The owner of the residence, Scott, has expressed to me his support of a sidewalk, but that he was told he would need to pay for it himself and that is cost-prohibitive.
I urge you not to wait for a pedestrian accident—or worse, a death—to install a sidewalk for safety.
