Dear Menlo Park City Council,
Since we won’t be able to attend the City Council Priority Setting Workshop on 03/22/2025 in person we would like re-iterate our strong support for the Triangle Annexation Application!
We have spoken before your council several times in years past in support for the Triangle to be annexed by the City of Menlo Park.
Unfortunately, thus far to no avail.
At present, despite living in Menlo Park, we are practically second class citizens because our concerns do not seem to matter to city nor county:
- We are ineligible to vote or run for office in the city we live in
- We have been excluded from all six(!) of the approved road safety projects with major implications on our quality of life
- We have been excluded from Menlo Park’s own law enforcement services. The County Sheriff’s Office has not served the community well
We have been living on the sliver of Unincorporated San Mateo County surrounded by Menlo Park for almost 20 years and we truly love this community. We would like to finally be fully part of the City of Menlo Park.
It has been ten years and counting for this Annexation Application.
Please finally act on it!
