I am writing to encourage you to annex the triangle in west Menlo Park for reasons that have largely been expressed. The city staff resistance has likely cost more than the annexation costs already and the issue will not go away. I believe that expanding the annexation to the Alameda business corridor would bring significant revenue opportunity from existing business as well as potential for expanding housing in an area likely to be less controversial than current proposals.
We hear about staff bandwidth issues inhibiting residents requests quite often and I’d like to see residents quality of life given higher priority than the current environment.
