Hello,
Just wanted to register my disappointment with the proposed
pool schedule for Burgess. I understand that you feel obligated to
provide swim lessons and they are a significant source of revenue,
but I feel that adults and seniors are being short-changed.
Your mission should be to serve the entire community, not primarily
those seeking swimming lessons, who are mostly children.
The number of Aquacize classes has been drastically cut, which is
truly unfortunate. Sheralee Beebe is an excellent teacher, and the
classes are so beneficial for those of us with arthritis and/or recovering from surgery.
In addition, the times for lap swimming in the Instructional pool have
been changed and will be unappealing to many, myself among them. Early am's and evenings do not work for me. I realize that
lap swimming would be available on weekends but the pool is
often quite crowded then, particularly during the summer.
I am not the only one who is unhappy about the proposed
schedule; as a senior, several of my friends have already voiced
their dismay about it.
In light of what I've addressed in this letter, please reconsider
your plan.
Sincerely,
Kathleen Davis
