Council Members: Congratulations to Council and staff for implementing such nice sidewalks on Santa Cruz Avenue! Please declare victory and STOP — don’t mess up the success. The latest plan to install numerous signs in the middle of the new sidewalks is just crazy. The sidewalks are actually WORKING, and the traffic flows fine. We do not see a problem that the signs will solve, only a problem they will create.* Please declare a moratorium on signs in the sidewalks, and next year consider what to do based on actual experience. This is a last chance to avoid wrecking a lot of fine work. Leave it alone; please maintain SCA sidewalks as they are.
