How's that SHOOFLY gonna work??

All, At last night's Planning Commission meeting, Henry Riggs showed a picture of the CalTrain berm in San Carlos. This made me start to mentally compare that project to ours. Concentrating on the phase where the berm has been constructed and the overhead track bridge is about to be placed over the street (think either Ravenswood or Oak Grove). The new contour will be dug out going down 10 feet under the tracks, but how does this new road cross the shoofly?? If it goes under the shoofly, isn't that like a whole ALT A project that has to be done a total of 6 times? Or does it go over the shoofly?? If that's the case, doesn't the shoofly have to be farther away from the tracks, like almost to El Camino Real? Maybe AECOM can create a cross-section drawing that will show us how this will really happen. Sincerely, Steve Van Pelt Received on Tue Sep 12 2017 - 09:52:22 PDT
