TO: Honorable Mayor and Council Members DATE: August 23, 2017 RE: Meeting 09262017, Items G1 and H1 We continue to have a housing crisis for moderate and low-income present and future residents. Now is the time to for a commitment, from the City of Menlo Park, whenever reasonable, to provide appropriate moderate and low-income housing. Both G1 and H1 projects are robbing us of the opportunity to provide this housing. Therefore, I am requesting both items, G1 and H1, be delayed until there is a thorough review of the Specific Plan and General Plan and revisions to address the housing challenges. I further request a moratorium on future all other current and future commercial development until both Plans are addresses. We have the responsibility and obligation to use our finite land wisely. We have the last remaining land in the most desirable area to build. Moderate and low-income housing, education, transportation, traffic congestion and proximity to amenities must be a significant part of the Specific Plan and General Plan . Thank-you, Pamela Jones
